Why is this interesting? VR KOLO is a virtual museum environment that brings together five museums in a single space, enabling users to “teleport” between them on a single VR tour. The project showcases 120 digitized exhibits, including lost or destroyed items that are being returned to exhibitions through modern technology in order to engage new audiences. Designed as a practical tool for preserving heritage during wartime, VR KOLO provides secure access to collections, improves museum capabilities, and attracts young people with gamified routes, quests, and puzzles. Each participating museum now has its own VR zone where visitors can explore the digital exhibition and virtually visit the other museums in the project. |
