The discussion on the curtailing of freedom of speech in Crimea will be based on the second edition of journalist Yuriy Lukanov’s book “The Press Machine: How Russia Destroyed Media Freedom in Crimea”, which was published in English by the German publishing house Ibidem Verlag and presented in the UK in February at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the Financial Times, London Metropolitan University, Oxford University, University of Glasgow, and University College London.
