russian propagandists intensified their efforts to bombard Europe with fakes about Ukraine – VoxCheck report

Topics of focus:
– Key trends in spreading enemy propaganda;
– What new fakes have been invented by the russians and pro-russian supporters in Europe, and what false claims have remained unchanged for years?
– How can Ukraine counter russian disinformation in Europe and what counter-narratives should it create for the European media?

Why this is interesting:
In February-October 2023, the VoxCheck team found 8,296 instances of russian propaganda in the media of 6 European countries. That is, every month over 920 media publications containing the russian disinformation narrative appeared in Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland. In comparison, during the previous research period (from February 24, 2022 to January 2023), analysts found 4,836 cases, that is, an average of 403 instances of propaganda appeared every month. And propagandists direct most of their fake messages to Poland.
