Back Announcement for Media!
Dear colleagues, you are invited to attend the opening of the Krakovets–Korczowa border checkpoint upgraded under the Open Border Project on June 20, 2022.
The Open Border project aims to eliminate bottlenecks at the western border and improve logistics in both directions between Ukraine and Poland/EU; the project was initiated within the scope of arrangements made by Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, and Andrzej Duda, President of Poland.
The work to increase the throughput of the checkpoint started two weeks ago. The number of truck lanes was increased from 4 to 10; additional pavilions were installed for customs and immigration control. The throughput is expected to increase by 50 to 100%.
