Anka Feldhusen: As soon as putin sets foot on German territory, he will definitely be arrested

Anka Feldhusen, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ukraine, made the relevant statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform. 

“One has only to arrive in Germany, and putin will certainly be arrested. It was confirmed by the Federal Minister of Justice the day before yesterday. Our country is a party to the Rome Statute. So do more than 120 countries besides us. putin will not have it easy to go on business trips to these countries,” she emphasized.

“We believe that this arrest warrant was issued very timely. It is consistent with the discussion about russia’s responsibility for the crime of aggression, for all the war crimes we are working on together with our Ukrainian partners and a special team of German prosecutors in The Hague.”
