All Kyiv CHP plants will resume operations before the heating season – Energy Research Center
The capacity of the CHP plants (in Kyiv – ed.) that provide heating will be restored before the heating season. This was stated by Oleksandr Kharchenko, director of the Energy Research Center, during a briefing at the Ukraine Media Center.
“Even CHPP-4, which was unable to operate during the last weeks of winter, is already supplying hot water and is operational. Therefore, there is no cause for concern regarding whether they will be ready for the heating season. They will be. However, there remain risks of outages that could result in them not functioning,” the expert said.
According to him, the work currently underway at the CHP plants is capable of eliminating 70% of the reasons why heating was lost last winter.
