About 20% of Ukrainians have faced prejudice or discrimination when looking for rental housing – Cedos

According to a study conducted in 2019 by the independent analytical center Cedos, about 20% of Ukrainians have faced prejudice and discrimination when looking for rental housing.

This information was shared by Ivan Verbytskyi, director of Cedos, during a presentation at the Media Center Ukraine.

“The problem we have noticed, and unfortunately continue to observe, is that about 20% of people (who rent housing – ed.) say that they face various prejudices or discrimination when looking for rental housing,” he said.

According to Verbytskyi, these prejudices include factors such as age, gender, occupation, nationality, registration status, having children and owning pets.
