A center for temporary accommodation of IDPs for 100 people will be established in Odesa in summer
This is a two-story building with a total area of 1,500 square meters, and it is currently being renovated. This information was made public during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Odesa by Olena Kitayska, Director of the Department of Labor and Social Policy of the Odesa City Council.
“This is a 1,500 square meter building, currently undergoing renovation, and we plan to open this center for a temporary compact center for IDPs by the end of July. It is a two-story building, and we plan to accommodate about 100 people at a time. In addition to accommodation, IDPs can receive various services there. It is located at 5, Khimichna Street” – the official said.
She also added that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the city council has purchased 6 apartments for IDPs, where about 20 IDPs are currently living.
The official also added that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 70,000 IDPs have registered in Odesa, mostly from Kherson, Mykolaiv and Donetsk regions.
