80% of Kherson utility systems ready for heating season – Oblast Military Administration

80% of utility systems in Kherson are ready for the heating season. Preparatory work is still underway.

Oleksandr Tolokonnikov, Spokesman for the Kherson Oblast Military Administration, made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.

“In Kherson, approximately 80% of utility systems are already prepared, and preparatory work is ongoing. The utility line is damaged there, as a result of constant shelling, but our thermal power engineers are working to restore those that have already been destroyed,” he noted.

In addition, Oleksandr Tolokonnikov added that firewood will be provided to settlements without electricity and gas. Negotiations are also underway with various charities that will be able to help the population with heating.
