24,000 refugees get jobs as part of business support program for employment of IDPs – Yuliia Zhovtiak

As part of the program, employers who hire internally displaced persons will receive a monthly compensation worth UAH 6,770 for each employed person for two months.

Yuliia Zhovtiak, Director of the State Employment Center, made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.

“About 14,000 applications were submitted as a part of this program. 24,000 internally displaced persons have been employed under this program, and UAH 288 million have already been transferred,” she said.

According to Yuliia Zhovtiak, since the beginning of russia’s full-scale aggression, 93,000 people have used services of the State Employment Service, 74,000 have applied for work, 47,000 have been employed, 2,400 are undergoing training, and 12,000 are currently receiving services.
