De-occupation and reintegration of Crimea require the state and experts to combine their efforts – Tamila Tasheva

The Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine to the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, made this statement during the opening of the 3rd International Forum of the International Crimea Platform Expert Network. She noted that work on the future of Crimea continues every day with state authorities and experts constantly working to prepare the necessary legislation for the actual de-occupation of the peninsula.

“When we talk about the work of the Crimea Platform, we are not limited to just holding events, even though this is very important. Developing reintegration policies and Ukrainian legislation is our homework, which we can then demonstrate to our international partners,” she said.

According to Tamila Tasheva, last year the Ukrainian parliament made legislative progress on the future administrative division of Crimea and verification of the knowledge of children from the temporarily occupied territories. This includes the Verkhovna Rada’s statement on the future of the Crimean peninsula developed with the help of the Crimea Platform experts.

This year, a summit will be held to address the issues concerning Crimea and the Black Sea region at the government level.
