Critical infrastructure status in Kherson region: Power outages reported in 40 settlements

40 out of 228 settlements are currently experiencing power outages in the Kherson Oblast, primarily in coastal areas.

This information was shared by Oleksandr Tolokonnikov, spokesperson for the Kherson Oblast Military Administration, during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.

“At present, 40 of the 228 settlements are now left without power, mostly in coastal regions. Beryslav remains a significant concern, as residents have been lacking electricity for an extended period. Persistent drone attacks hinder our efforts to restore transformers destroyed by russian forces. Even though we attempt repairs to reinstate reliable electricity supply, they are targeted again by kamikaze drones. Unfortunately, restoring power in Beryslav and other coastal settlements under constant shelling is not yet feasible,” Tolokonnikov stated.

On water distribution, Tolokonnikov mentioned that water is either supplied on schedule using generators or delivered. He added that water supply systems are functioning in Kherson.

Gas supply is available in 79 out of the 88 settlements where access to gas is maintained.
