Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant has the worst security situation due to the lack of repairs and the presence of Russian troops. 

Russia is using the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant as a platform for shelling Ukrainian cities, knowing that there will be no response. This was stated during a briefing at the Ukraine Media Center by Oleg Korikov, Chairman of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate – Chief State Inspector for Nuclear and Radiation Safety of Ukraine.

“The Zaporizhzhia NPP has the worst safety situation – equipment is deteriorating, repairs and maintenance are not being carried out on time, and there were four power outages last year. Moreover, we witnessed the longest power outage in the history of the NPP – it was without power for a whole month. Currently, Ukraine continues to provide power to the Zaporizhzhya NPP,” he said.
