Winter Olympic Games 2026: Vadym Gutzeit on preparation of Ukrainian athletes
Ukrainian athletes are already preparing for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games, which will be held in Italy.
Vadym Gutzeit, President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine.
“Preparation continues. Everything has already been budgeted. The calendar plan has been drawn up by each head coach. All athletes are training at summer training facilities, because there is summer training, general physical training, which is also very important, so that the athletes are fully physically ready to start the season. In winter they will go to winter training facilities and practice. We have already met with federations, athletes, and head coaches, who have given us their assurances about how our athletes will perform. Of course, one would like them to perform successfully, just like at the summer Olympics. Therefore, let’s hope that this will be the case,” said Vadym Gutzeit.
