Winter crops survived the winter satisfactorily: farmers predict sufficient yields

Farmers report that, overall, winter crops in Ukraine survived the winter well and are in satisfactory condition. In some south-central regions, where there was little snow, crops suffered losses.

This was stated during a briefing at the Ukraine Media Center by Denys Marchuk, deputy chairman of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council.

“The loss of winter crops throughout Ukraine is no more than 10%. This is an acceptable norm. There will be losses for individual enterprises, but spring crops will still be sown in these fields, and the sowing campaign is just starting,” he said.

According to the expert, there will be enough winter crops for both the domestic market and export.
