West preparing new aid packages following russian attacks – Oleksandr Kharchenko

Western partners are responding quite promptly to russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, according to Oleksandr Kharchenko, Director of the Energy Industry Research Center, who spoke at the Kyiv Security Forum.

“The situation is very difficult immediately after an enemy attack on energy facilities, but it improves with each passing day. If we had a month and a half to two months (between attacks – ed.), power outages would be minimal or might not occur at all. I must acknowledge that the international community’s reaction to russia’s attacks is immediate; they are already preparing new aid packages”, he stated.
