Weather apps now display warnings from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center

Ukraine has recently been added to the European portal for meteorological severe weather warning, MeteoAlarm. As a result, Ukrainian users are already receiving relevant warnings in weather apps.

This was discussed during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.

“Recently, the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center joined the international platform EUMETNET through an international project with the Finnish Meteorological Institute. This platform allows us to send our warnings for the territory of Ukraine. It collects all warnings from European countries and automatically sends them to applications in operating systems. This platform is called MeteoAlarm. It is thanks to this platform and the Finnish project, which we are currently implementing together with the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, that we have such achievements and our warnings reach our users,” said Nataliia Ptukha, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
