Water safety: 68 rescued from drowning since the start of the year

Since the beginning of 2025, emergency responders have saved 68 people from water-related accidents, including 20 children.

Oleksandr Khorunzhyi, press secretary of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, shared these figures during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine. 

“This year, we’ve managed to rescue 68 people, including 20 children. These are individuals who, in reality, could have lost their lives. Their survival is thanks to the efforts of our rescuers and the vigilance of ordinary citizens,” Khorunzhyi stated.
