Vast majority of russians believe that russia should engage in negotiations – Research findings

The percentage of russians who believe that russia should enter into negotiations has increased from 66% in August 2024 to 75% in January 2025.

This was stated by political analyst Vadym Denysenko during the presentation of research results at the Media Center Ukraine.

“When asked the question, ‘Do you think that russia should engage in negotiations,’ we now see that an overwhelming majority of the population is in favor. Basically, most people are ready for negotiations to start tomorrow. In August 2024, 66% supported negotiations; now 75% say they are necessary. This clearly reflects war fatigue, a sense of lack of future prospects, and a general sense that it’s time to end this. This fatigue is now becoming increasingly evident in russian society,” Denysenko said.

The research was conducted in Russia through a telephone survey of 1,200 respondents.
