US Has Done Everything Possible to Marginalize russia in the UN Security Council — Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the U.S. Representative

The Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, U.S. Representative to the United Nations, made this statement in Kyiv, during the briefing in the Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“Is it realistic to hold russia accountable? Yes, it is. And we have done everything possible to marginalize russia in the Security Council, and we have marginalized it in the General Assembly. And even though they have the right of veto, they will never be able to veto our condemnation, our votes. We have 141 votes condemning russia in the General Assembly, and we have 143 votes condemning their annexation,” the U.S. Representative to the United Nations said.

Linda Thomas-Greenfield also stressed that russia has clearly and loudly heard from the world that what they are doing is unacceptable, noting that although russia has the right of veto, they cannot hide behind it from condemnation.
