Ukrainian Women’s Fund launches monitoring of recovery programs in communities – Natalia Karbovska
During the recovery conference in Rome, the Ukrainian Women’s Fund presented an analytical document outlining ten key components of gender-inclusive recovery for Ukraine. Natalia Karbovska, Director of Strategic Development at the Ukrainian Women’s Fund, shared this information during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.
“Our goal at the conference was to amplify the voices of those who will lead Ukraine’s reconstruction. We presented the ten components of gender-inclusive recovery because it’s crucial for us to ensure that all recovery investments have maximum local impact. In Rome, we received confirmation that there is political will to support Ukraine. Now, we must ensure the effective practical implementation of new initiatives,” Karbovska said.
She noted that the Women’s Fund is now launching community-level monitoring to evaluate existing recovery programs operating in Ukraine with the support of international partners.
Karbovska emphasized that the real work begins now, following the Rome conference:
“We cannot afford to lose momentum in implementing gender-responsive policies. In the coming weeks, we will engage with all stakeholders to identify barriers to implementing these ten components of gender-inclusive recovery.”
