Ukrainian wheat harvest matches last year’s yield, reports Denys Marchuk

Ukrainian farmers have successfully harvested 32 million tons of early grains this season, including 22 million tons of wheat, matching last year’s yield.

Denys Marchuk, Deputy Chairman of the Ukrainian Agrarian Council, announced this during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.

“We’ve harvested around 32 million tons of early grains. Specifically, in terms of wheat, we’ve nearly reached last year’s figures, with almost 22 million tons collected,” Marchuk noted.

He emphasized that these strong early grain numbers position Ukraine well to meet domestic demand while also focusing on export opportunities. “With approximately 22 million tons of wheat harvested, we estimate that about 16 million tons could be exported. This is crucial for securing revenue for both our farmers and the country as a whole,” he explained.
