Ukrainian Pension Fund promises payments to support families with children under one to begin next month
The Pension Fund of Ukraine announced that it will launch a 7,000-hryvnia monthly payment for families with infants next month. These funds are intended to cover child-related expenses, such as supplies, education, and services. Yevhen Kapinus, the chairman of the Board of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, announced this at the Media Center Ukraine.
“There are some technical details regarding the use of special accounts required for these payments. We hope to resolve this by the end of next month so we can begin transferring funds,” Kapinus said.
For reference, the childcare allowance for children under one year old is 7,000 hryvnia per month. The benefit is available to parents of children born in 2026, and to mothers who gave birth in 2025 if the child was under one year old as of January 1, 2026. Applications must be submitted to the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
