Ukrainian Armed Forces make small advances in Zaporizhzhia sector, enemy diverts near Vuhledar – spokesman of Joint Press Center of the Tauride Defense Forces

The offensive of the Ukrainian Defense Forces continues in the Zaporizhzhia sector. 

This was stated by Oleksandr Shtupun, spokesman for the joint press center of the Tauride Defense Forces, at a briefing at the Ukraine-Odesa Media Center.

“There is a slight advance. The enemy’s exhaustion continues. But the enemy wants to take back what we liberated, so fierce fighting is taking place there,” noted the spokesman.

To defend the occupied territories, the enemy has deployed large numbers of personnel – in the Melitopol sector alone, Ukrainian defenders have spotted about 20,000 Russians.

“In the area of Vuhledar, Russian occupants are conducting diversionary actions – they are trying to advance and are pulling back. Most likely, they are distracting our troops so that we could not move troops from there to the Avdiivka sector,” summarized Colonel Shtupun.
