Ukraine’s power grid has already been rebuilt by 50-60% of the plan – CEO of state power generator Ukrenergo
The pace of the energy grid repairs carried out has increased significantly. Currently, the numbers are as follows: the completion of about 50-60% of the planned work.
It was stated by Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, Chairman of the Board of NEC Ukrenergo, at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.
“I would estimate that the entire scope of work we have planned is about 50-60% completed. There is still a lot to do, but there are sufficient resources, equipment, material, and human resources. This is what directly concerns Ukrenergo’s grids,” he said.
In addition, he noted that the pace of work has increased several times. He also stated that the company employs more than 1500 people specifically allocated to the restoration of damaged facilities, repair of the power grid, and restoration of our substations.
“Before the full-scale invasion, we used to install, on average, one large autotransformer per month on our own and replace it with our contractors. During the largest wave of missile attacks, this figure could have been increased 6-7 times. And we did most of the work on our own.”
