Ukraine’s pavilion at Expo 2025 built without state budget funds – Deputy Economy Minister Berezhna

Ukraine did not allocate any state budget funds toward the creation and setup of its national exhibition space for World Expo 2025 in Japan. The project was carried out entirely through partnership contributions.

Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Tetiana Berezhna made the announcement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine.

“We did not spend a single hryvnia from the state budget on the construction or arrangement of our pavilion. We recognize that all public expenditures must be directed toward the war effort and critical social needs. That’s why we made every effort to implement the project through partner support,” she said.

“But above all, we are deeply grateful to the Japanese government and the Japanese people for covering the lion’s share of the pavilion’s costs and helping us build all the walls exactly as rendered in our original design,” Berezhna added.
