Ukraine’s Ministry of Economy to involve women in mine action

The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine is preparing to include women in mine action initiatives. 

Ihor Bezkaravainyi, Deputy Minister of Economy, disclosed this information during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine. 

“Our team is committed to integrating women into mine action efforts. Initially, we will examine the existing barriers—understanding why there is currently limited participation. Once we identify these obstacles, we will work to overcome them,” Bezkaravainyi stated.
