Ukraine’s Emergency Service uses drones to help fight fires

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine is expanding its use of unmanned aerial vehicles to extinguish fires.

Viktor Vitovetskyi, director of the SESU’s Department for Organization of Civil Protection Measures, announced this during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.

“The use of unmanned aerial vehicles is currently becoming increasingly widespread. They have proven highly effective for fire reconnaissance, providing crucial information on the fire’s direction, scale, and the necessary forces and equipment to deploy,” he added.
