Ukraine’s crop export potential could reach 60 million tons, Agrarian Council official says
Ukraine’s export capacity for this year is estimated to reach around 60 million tons of various crops, with over 16 million tons of wheat set for international markets.
During a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine, Denys Marchuk, Deputy Chairman of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council, provided insight into the country’s export outlook.
“Current projections indicate an export potential of up to 60 million tons of crops. Specifically, we expect to export over 16 million tons of wheat. Despite risks and partial losses due to drought, wheat production was less impacted, yielding about 22 million tons. Out of this, 6 million tons will be reserved for domestic food security, with the remainder available for export,” Marchuk explained.
