Ukraine rolls out free in-depth health checks for 40+ with lab tests and extended appointments

Under the National Health Screening 40+ Program, participants will receive comprehensive physical examinations along with laboratory tests. 

Every medical facility participating in the initiative will receive equipment for daily blood pressure monitoring, Olha Danchivska, a family physician and director of the Center for Primary Health Care of the Mostyska City Council, announced during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.

“When visiting a doctor under the Health Screening 40+ program, patients will have 60 to 90 minutes for an appointment. The maximum number of visits under the program is three. But that doesn’t mean you can’t make more appointments with your family physician for needs that are outside the scope of the examination,” she said.

The process begins with patients completing a questionnaire, followed by a physical exam and laboratory testing.
