Ukraine reaps roughly 76 million tons of grain and oilseeds in war-constrained harvest season
Ukraine has harvested approximately 76 million tons of grain and oilseeds this season, despite persistent wartime disruptions, according to the Ukrainian Agri Council.
Some farms are only now wrapping up corn harvest due to ongoing electricity shortages. As of now, about 90% of the crop has been brought in, Denys Marchuk, deputy chairman of the council, told the Media Center Ukraine.
“In total, we have harvested over 58 million tons of grain and 17.7 million tons of oilseeds,” Marchuk said. “That brings the combined figure for grains and oilseeds to roughly 76 million tons.”
