Ukraine probes 14 cases of ecocide amid russian aggression

The Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office is currently handling 221 criminal cases related to environmental damage caused by russia’s ongoing military actions, 14 of which are classified as ecocide.

Maksym Popov, Advisor to the Prosecutor General, revealed the figures during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine.

“Regarding environmental damage resulting from russia’s armed aggression, we are investigating 221 cases, 14 of which involve ecocide,” Popov stated.
