Ukraine lost about 500 million cubic meters of domestic gas production due to russian attacks – Energy Industry Research Center

Protecting gas storage facilities is a multi-year endeavor. Oleksandr Kharchenko, Director of the Energy Industry Research Center, stated this during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.

“Due to russian attacks, Ukraine has lost approximately 500 million cubic meters of its domestic  natural gas extraction. This is because damaged equipment often necessitates lengthy replacement or repair processes — it can’t simply be bought overnight. Is this critical? No, we will manage,” he said.

Kharchenko added that most of the production capacity has already been restored.
