Ukraine introduces long-term military contracts with new benefits for conscripts
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has unveiled a framework for long-term military contracts available to both new recruits and current service members.
Fedir Venislavskyi, a member of parliament and the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence, outlined the plans at the Media Center Ukraine.
“These contracts range from one to five years. Importantly, after two years of service under this arrangement, citizens will be eligible for a one-year exemption from conscription during mobilization,” Venislavskyi said.
The agreements also include enhanced financial support for service members. Parliament has completed the necessary legislative changes to implement the new system.
