Ukraine has received the maximum permitted quota for electricity imports – Oleksandr Kharchenko

The four key urban agglomerations that are constantly under attack from russia — the Odesa oblast, the Kharkiv oblast, the Kryvyi Rih and Dnipro, as well as the Kyiv oblast — are experiencing a very difficult situation. Oleksandr Kharchenko, the director of the Energy Industry Research Center, made this statement at the Media Center Ukraine.

“The picture differs markedly across the rest of the country. There are instances where it is impossible to transmit electricity from one region to another. Each oblast has its own problem areas. If large residential areas rely on nuclear power plants and something happens to them, those areas will face three to four difficult days without electricity,” he said.

According to Kharchenko, Ukraine has received the maximum import allowances for electricity. However, while this can help the western regions, it will not change the situation for the rest of the country.
