Ukraine has destroyed or attacked about 35% of Russia’s fleet

At the start of the full-scale war, Ukraine effectively had no fleet, yet it has managed to destroy or attack about 35% of Russia’s fleet, preventing Russian ships from approaching Ukrainian shores.

This was stated by Member of Parliament Yuliia Sirko during the Third Black Sea Security Conference.

According to her, the Black Sea theater has become a model for modern conflicts, and Russia’s tactics are already being adopted by other countries, including Iran, using drones and naval mines.

“We do not know where the next conflict will occur, as tensions remain in other areas, including the borders with Belarus. Therefore, cooperation between Ukraine and Moldova with the European Union could become an important security factor: combining military efforts, coordination centers, and sharing experience in drones and other technologies. The key is to act together. Ukraine has the experience, and the European Union has the institutional capacity. At this stage, we are forced to rely primarily on our own forces, so regional security needs to be built now. This is no longer just Ukraine’s war — this is a global conflict ”.
