Ukraine has 5% fewer first-year students than last year – Ministry of Education and Science
Although the main stages of the admissions campaign have already concluded, additional procedures are still ongoing. TTherefore, the final enrollment figures will be available in the second decade of October.
Oleh Sharov, Director General of the Directorate of Higher and Adult Education at Ukraine’s Ministry of Education and Science, stated this during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.
“In terms of key figures for those enrolled, both on state-funded and contract bases, we have a -5% indicator compared to last year,” said Sharov.
It is worth noting that 184,000 first-year students have already been admitted to universities, academies, and institutes this year. Of those, 65,000 will study under state-funded programs.
