Ukraine exports over 80% of its metallurgical products – President of the Union of Metallurgists and Miners of Ukraine

Ukraine’s metallurgical industry is export-oriented, and more than 80% of the metallurgical products produced in the country are exported.

Oleksandr Kalenkov, President of the Union of Metallurgists and Miners of Ukraine, said this during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.

“Our industry is export-oriented. We are the only metallurgical country that exports more than 80% of the metallurgical products it produces. This makes us very dependent on logistics. In addition, more than 50% of our iron ore raw materials are also exported,” he noted.
