Ukraine currently imports 700-1100 MW of electricity from abroad
Recently, Ukraine has been importing electricity on a regular basis. As of today, imports range from 700 to 1100 MW.
Yurii Boiko, Advisor to the Prime Minister of Ukraine and a member of the Ukrenergo Supervisory Board, stated this during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.
“If we talk about today and the outlook until the end of winter, our country will increasingly rely on the possibility of imports. Recently, this import has been carried out regularly, with volumes increasing during peak load hours to compensate and minimize the schedules of power restrictions. Today, the range is between 700 and 1100 MW. The volume fluctuates hourly, but has remained within this range for the past several days. The permitted import capacity is 2100 MW,” said Boyko.
