Ukraine builds Expo 2025 pavilion in just three months – Deputy Economy Minister Berezhna

Ukraine completed its national pavilion for Expo 2025 in Japan in just three months, a process that typically takes other countries several years. Despite the tight timeline, organizers say they maximized the opportunity to present Ukraine’s vision of the future to the world.

Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Tetiana Berezhna announced the achievement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine.

“We’ve been working on the pavilion for only three months, while other countries have been developing theirs for two or even three years. But we used the time effectively,” Berezhna stated.

The Ukrainian pavilion spans just 52 square meters. In contrast, countries like Japan, France, and the United States typically construct individual pavilions covering several hundred or even thousands of square meters.

“We had a small pavilion, only 52 square meters, but we used every square meter to showcase our vision of the future,” Berezhna emphasized.

Ukraine will participate in World Expo 2025, themed “Designing Future Society for Our Lives”, taking place in Osaka, Japan, from April 13 to October 13.

Ukraine’s pavilion, titled “Not For Sale,” is designed to resemble a retail store where nothing is available for purchase. Instead of products, 18 symbolic items are on display, each representing a core human value such as freedom, dignity, and sustainability.
