Hundreds of Ukrainian families have already purchased housing through the eOselya, a new program of affordable mortgage lending initiated by the President of Ukraine. Olena Korobkova, Chair of the Board of the Independent Association of the Banks of Ukraine (IABU), made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.
“The war affects long-term loans, but there are affordable mortgages and the eHouse program with preferential rates of 7.3% per annum. According to Ukrfinzhytlo, as of February 2023, the program has already issued UAH 1 billion 128 million, and 873 Ukrainian families have purchased housing. These are mainly military personnel and law enforcement officers. There is demand, it remains low, but there is still an upward trend,” Korobkova reported.
