U.S. focused on five key areas in Black Sea region – Antony Blinken
The United States Secretary of State made this statement during the Second Black Sea Security Conference.
“We (the United States – Ed.) are focused on five key areas: increasing U.S. political engagement, deepening security cooperation, boosting economic integration and resilience; promoting energy security, particularly through clean energy; and fostering democratic resilience. We’ve made real progress towards delivering on those objectives. Romania is home to one of NATO’s new multinational battlegroups, as well as more than 2,000 U.S. troops. These are just a few examples of our cooperation,” said Antony Blinken.
He emphasized the U.S. support for Ukraine, because it is fighting for what the United States also supports – a more secure, prosperous and integrated region: “The United States will continue to support Ukraine both so it can defend itself today and stand on its feet.”
