Transparency International Ukraine focuses on strengthening sanctions enforcement against russia
Transparency International Ukraine is currently dedicating its efforts to analyzing international practices and monitoring the progress of cases involving the confiscation of russian assets, particularly those handled by the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC).
Andrii Borovyk, Executive Director at Transparency International Ukraine, discussed these efforts at a press conference held at the Media Center Ukraine.
“Our focus on the issue of sanctions and the confiscation of russian assets [ed.] is centered on studying international experience and closely monitoring all cases that are brought before the High Anti-Corruption Court. Confiscation cases through the HACC represent one of the methods; there are two other approaches. Our role here is primarily to monitor and provide recommendations on where improvements are needed,” Borovyk explained.
He also highlighted that one of the organization’s primary objectives for 2025 is to strengthen accountability for violations of the sanctions regime.
“Based on what we see now, one of our goals for this year is to advance efforts toward establishing clear accountability for violating the sanctions regime,” he emphasized.
