“There Is an Efficient Network of Humanitarian Aid Hubs in Ukraine,” Taras Kuchma, Mayor of Drohobych
A coordinating center was established in Drohobych to help channel both targeted and large-scale humanitarian aid to those who need it. Taras Kuchma, Mayor of Drohobych, said this during his briefing at Ukraine Media Center.
The mayor told that the city received humanitarian cargo from abroad almost every day. More than 900 tonnes of humanitarian aid have been received since the first days of the all-out russian invasion.
The mayor of Drohobych also said that the humanitarian cargo arriving at the hub in Drohobych was initially sent to Ovruch, Irpin, Fastiv, Vasylkiv, Bucha, and Borodianka. Now the cargo also goes to Sumy, Kharkiv, and Kryvyi Rih. There are plans to set up a humanitarian hub in Ukraine’s East to distribute the aid delivered from Drohobych locally.
