The Stopkrov (Stop Blood) Project: Activists are distributing bleeding control kits to the public

The Association of First Aid and Tactical Medicine Operators and Instructors launched a new initiative to distribute specialized first aid kits with essential supplies for stopping bleeding in public spaces.

Olena Tonkoshkurenko, the head of the Senta Farm company, announced the initiative during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.

“These kits have a user-friendly interface that helps people understand how to provide aid. They’re even divided into sections for self-help and assisting others,” she explained.

All items in the kit are produced in Ukraine. The full set costs around UAH 4,000 and needs to be updated every two years.

“Many Ukrainians have already received training in medical first aid. But even when someone knows how to help, they still need the right resources, which must be publicly accessible. We’ve agreed with our partners to replace any kits used for their intended purpose,” said Leonid Fedorovsky, chairman of the Association of First Aid and Tactical Medicine Operators and Instructors.

He added that the organization offers mass casualty first aid training as well. Activists are calling on businesses to join the program, participate in training, and place these kits to ensure readiness for emergencies.
