The State Emergency Service of Ukraine has approximately 60 medical teams operating along the entire front line

Under combat conditions, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine has established a self-sufficient, constantly improving departmental medical system. Each SES medical team consists of a medic, a doctor or paramedic, and a driver.

Nataliia Yashan, Head of the Medical Support Department at the SES, stated this during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.

“Today, SES medical units have been formed in every garrison, meaning in every regional center. We conduct rotations of all teams from all regions. Approximately 60 SES medical teams are working on the front line. In 2025 alone, they carried out 215 rotations, and since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, they have carried out over 600 rotations,” she noted.

Currently, the SES medical service is undergoing special training for work in combat conditions. Medical personnel are being trained to provide combat trauma care, perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and carry out other emergency procedures. In addition to providing medical assistance, SES units conduct the medical evacuation of civilians from combat zones.
