The ruling Russian party has only 36% public support, falling short of the required threshold 

Russians do not even support the ruling party by 50%. Vadym Denysenko, head of the “Delovaya Stolitsa” think tank, stated this at the Ukraine Media Center. 

“Even based on the figures provided by official Russian opinion polls, ‘United Russia’ has 36% support among the electorate and falls 15 percentage points short of the required 50% threshold,” he noted.
