The National Guard is advocating for amendments to CMU Resolution No. 153 to secure payments for conscript soldiers currently in captivity

In October 2025, the National Guard of Ukraine submitted proposals to the government to standardize monetary support for conscript soldiers.

Colonel Vitalii Shum, deputy director of the Personnel Department of the Main Directorate of the National Guard, announced this during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.

“In October, we submitted proposals to include conscript soldiers in Resolution No. 153 (On the implementation of a pilot project to increase motivation for certain categories of citizens of Ukraine to perform military service in the Armed Forces, the National Guard and the State Border Service during martial law – ed.),” he said.

If the amendments are adopted, conscript soldiers will be able to receive funds accrued to their deposit accounts while they are held in enemy captivity.
