The Ministry of Education explained how applicants from eligible categories can access free tuition if they were unable to enroll in budget-funded programs
At a briefing held at the Media Center Ukraine, Mykola Trofymenko, Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Education and Science, announced that this year’s university applicants included over 19,000 war veterans, more than 9,000 individuals from temporarily occupied territories, and over 2,000 children of fallen defenders. He also explained the process for applicants in these categories who were not accepted into state-funded programs. The Ministry of Education and Science advises these applicants to contact the Ministry directly.
“Those who did not secure a state-funded spot during the initial admissions stage and appeal to us for a budgetary spot will have their case reviewed by a special commission at the Ministry, provided they meet all the requirements. This commission reallocates spots, and we grant requests from these categories 100% of the time,” Trofymenko explained.
