Sumy region gets shelled about 20 every day — Acting Head of Oblast Military Administration
Sumy region continues experiencing daily shelling with 15-20 strikes taking place every day. In particular, 150-200, and sometimes even more, rounds are fired at the region from various types of weapons.
Taras Savchenko, Acting Head of Sumy Oblast Military Administration, made this statement at a briefing Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.
“Within just one day, there were MLRS strikes, mortar shelling and artillery fire, in particular from self-propelled guns. The day before yesterday, UAVs dropped VOG grenades. There were attacks from anti-tank missile systems,” — he noted.
According to Taras Savchenko, the enemy uses the entire range of their weapons mainly against the civilian population, “because they mainly target the outskirts and central parts of populated areas.”
“The Bilopillya community in the central part of Sumy oblast suffers from shelling the most. But all 15 border communities also get shelled.”
